We worked with the Lower Colorado River Authority and Robert Jackson Architects to construct this award winning visitor center and classroom for the 75-acre Westcave Preserve near Austin. The building incorporates energy-saving systems such as a photovoltaic array, ground‐source heat pumps, daylighting, overhangs, attic fans, and energy-efficient lighting. An interactive panel shows how these systems can be controlled to balance energy demands with incoming solar power.
