Having worked with the Devine Independent School District on multiple projects over several years, Bandy was selected to build the new Devine Student Activity Center. Designed by Pfluger Architects and created to serve both middle and high school students, this expansive project included a regulation gymnasium, locker, shower, and athletic training areas, a performing arts theater with stage, sound, and lighting control systems, and a student cafeteria with a full kitchen, serving lines, and community space. The project, which was constructed in an area surrounded by occupied school buildings, also included significant mechanical systems including chilled water piping, a new gas-fired boiler, new chiller, extensive site utilities, a complete kitchen equipment package, sound and audio systems, folding walls, and wood gymnasium flooring.
