Geneva School of Boerne Project Nears Completion
We are wrapping up work on the construction of the new Grammar School Campus for the Geneva School of Boerne in Boerne, Texas.
The project, designed by Garza Architects and scheduled for completion by Thanksgiving, includes two new buildings. The first building is a wood-framed, 4,400-square-foot structure housing administrative offices, a nurse’s station, and break areas. The second building is a 12,500 square foot structural steel building with ten classroom suites, collaborative areas, flex spaces, and support rooms.
Built on the site of an operating K-12 school, the new Grammar School replaces a collection of portable buildings that the school has been using since 2004. The new buildings add a new level of prestige to the campus, with high-end exterior architectural finishes that mix flat and corrugated metal wall panels with natural and cut stone.
We were awarded a CMAR contract for the project at the 35% design phase, and the owner’s budget is intact. Bandy’s project management team for the assignment included Robert Harrell as project manager and Anthony Zuniga as project superintendent.
